Multiple routing protocols especially for these conditions have been developed during the last few years, to find optimized routes from a source to some destination.

Analysis of Hippe (M40) Biodiesel on Tribological Property of IC Engine Components

Authors- Post Doctoral Fellow Dr. Venkata Sundar Rao K, Prof. & Head Dr. Shreeprakash B

Abstract- – The internal combustion engine is a heat engine that converts chemical energy into mechanical energy, usually made available on a rotating output shaft. Chemical energy of the fuel is first converted to thermal energy by means of combustion or oxidation with air inside the engine. This thermal energy raises the temperature and pressure of the gases and the high-pressure gas then expands against the mechanical mechanisms of the engine. This expansion is converted by the mechanical linkages of the engine to a rotating crankshaft, which is the output of the engine. The crankshaft, in turn, is connected to a transmission and/or power train to transmit the rotating mechanical energy to the desired final use. In the present work, the surface roughness of the IC Engine components has been recorded for diesel and blend of 60% Diesel+40% Hippe oil. The use of the blend of 60% Diesel+40% Hippe oil has better tribological properties of the IC Engine components as compared to the diesel as a fuel. Hence the blend of 60% Diesel+40% Hippe oil could be used as an alternative bio-fuel to reduce the pollution effects and material wear of the components

Survey Paper on Reversible Arithmetic Unit Based on Programmable Gate Structure

Authors- M.Tech. Scholar Sameer Suman, Dr. Anshuj Jain (HOD)

Power crisis is a vital problem in today’s world. In recent years, the growing market of electronic systems suffers from power dissipation and delay removal problem. Bennett et al. proved that the one-to-one mapping between the inputs and outputs of reversible circuit drastically reduces the power consumption and delay consumed of a circuit. There are four major design parameters of reversible circuits. First is the gate count which is the number of gate are used in the circuit. Second is the quantum delay. Third is the number of ancilla inputs which are constant inputs which are used to maintain the reversibility of the device. Fourth is the number of garbage outputs i.e. output signals which are not used as inputs to other gates and are only there to maintain reversibility. In this paper the survey of design central processing unit based on reversible gate and parameter.

Design and Implementation of Data Mining Techniques Used In Criminal Activities for Predictive Analysis

Authors- M.Tech. Scholar Meenu Rai, Associate Prof. Bhawana Pillai

In most of the crime detection and hotspot analysis methods, the crime data are processed using different processing techniques to provide accurate analysis. However, there are many problems that lead to poor performance. The major limitations in the literature are the class imbalance problem and multi-objective problems that occur due to the varying classes resulting in the generation of wrong synthetic minority samples. The utilization of graph based clustering methods results in complete graph processing even when the graph has minor changes, thus becoming complicated for further use. The class imbalance problem has to be resolved and the accuracy of the clustering is needed to be enhanced by introducing an efficient integrated sampling and clustering approach for effective serial crime detection. The near-optimal crime detection is needed to be enhanced by not only considering the crime data but also the social crime datasets collected, thus improving the chances of serial crime detection.

Authors- Abdul Rasheed, Asst. Prof. Anuj Verma, Asst. Prof. Mohd Rashid

Fiber reinforced concrete (FRC) is Portland cement concrete reinforced with more or less randomly distributed fibres. Glass fiber reinforced concrete (GFRC) comprises hydration products of cement, or cement plus sand, and the glass fibers. Glass fibers are used are used as reinforcement for concrete. The experimental program is designed to check the effect of length of glass fiber on mechanical properties on M30 grade of concrete i.e. workability, compressive strength, split tensile strength and flexural strength and results will be compared with conventional concrete. Total 17 cubes of size 150mm x 150mm x 150mm, 17 beams of size 100mm x 100mm x 500mm and 17 cylindersof size 150 mm diameter and 300 mm height were casted and tested. It is found that The addition of glass fibers to the concrete not only modifies various properties of concrete like tensile strength, compressive strength but also enhances the binding properties, micro cracking control and also increases spalling resistance. The crack width is reduced to a greater extent. It imparts ductility to a certain extent which can be seen in experimental testing of beams. It tends the beam to bend and thus warning well before failure thereby enhancing safety.

A Analysis Of Collapse Behavior Of G+3 Rcc Building

Authors- Research Scholar Vikalp Sankla, H.O.D Rahul Sharma, Prof. Akash jaiswal

The structural behavior and analysis of multi-storey building components and supporting transfer girders have received added emphasis due to its importance in connection with buildings. The supported transmitter girder acts as either a full-tension member, deep beam, or as a normal beam bent, based on the shape of the upper framework and relevant requirements, including the depth ratio of the transmitter girder (distance), rigidity of the support column, and shear-wall thickness. Progressive collapse is one of the main reasons for the failure of structure. It takes place through burn, blow, or vehicle impact due to removal/ harm to a column or shear wall. This research tested the vulnerability of the structure to progressive collapse using ETABS. Progressive collapse load combination was implemented in compliance with GSA directives. At the floor level and basement of the building corner, edge, and medium columns were withdrawn separately. In order to enhance building efficiency during earthquakes, viscoelastic dampers may be used. The impact of viscoelastic dampers on the progressive resistance to collapse is measured in the present analysis. For critical systems, this analysis may be helpful.

The two cases were examined under different water discharges with variable water depths. The measured discharges in the field ranged from 11.9 to 129.25 L/s. Velocities for different water depths were exactly measured every 100 m long in the longitudinal direction and every 0.5 m in the cross-sectional direction. It is found that, the value of the Manning coefficient in case of studying the grassed canal ranged from 0.014 to 0.4302 and ranged from 0.0123 to 0.081 in the case of un-grassed canal. The values of Manning coefficient increase with increasing value of grass height. The values of the Manning coefficient in case of un-submerged vegetation with grass height equal to 67 cm, 90 cm, and 115 cm are greater than submerged vegetation with other heights. Using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) program empirical formulas were derived to determine the flow characteristics.

A Review on Hybrid Renewable Energy Sources Microgrid and Energy Storage System

Authors- M.Tech. Scholar Sumit Kumar Mehta, Asst.Prof. Mithilesh Gautam

Abstract- This paper deals with the design and stability analysis of a DC micro grid with battery-super capacitor energy storage system under variable super capacitor operating voltage. The conventional design method reported in the literature considers the rated super capacitor voltage in the modelling and design of controllers. The conventional method of controller design can potentially make the system unstable or introduce ringing in the DC link voltage at low super capacitor voltage. In this the sensitivity of DC micro grid stability with respect to super capacitor voltage variation is analyzed and a control design method is proposed to ensure the stability of DC micro grid in all operating modes. The voltage regulation of DC microgrid is a challenging task in order to prevent circulating current among different distributed energy sources connected in parallel. Another crucial issue is to manage active power among the distributed sources, loads and connected utility grid. Energy storage systems help to combat these challenges. In this work, review on a small scale DC microgrid is considered which is comprised of photovoltaic energy source, local loads and hybrid energy storage system. A decentralized control strategy based on DC bus voltage regulation is proposed for energy management in the system.

Learning Phenotype Structure Using Maximal Phenotype Alteration

Authors- PG Student Reny Sam, Asst. Prof. Mr. Shalom David

Abstract- Data mining with microarray technologies can be used for the extracting hidden predictive information and are enabled to continuously monitor the expression rates of all genes. Discovering and studying phenotype structures have become an important problem in the field of microarray data analysis. There are mainly two goals 1) various samples related to various phenotypes such as normal or disease are to be found. 2) For various groups of samples, find the signature or representative expression pattern that will differentiate one group from others. There are several methods proposed, however, some common drawbacks could be identified such as the signatures selected can have a large amount of genes with very low discriminative power. In this paper, the g*-sequence model is improved and updated to address the limitations thereby expression values which are ordered among genes can be utilized profitably, the proposed sequence model could be seen more robust to noise and allows to find the signatures with higher discriminative power using very less genes. An efficient algorithm, Finder with markovian policies is developed, which contains three steps: 1) trivial g* sequences identifying, 2) discovering phenotype structure, and 3) refinement. To further improve efficiency effective pruning is carried out. Real genes and synthetic gene sets could be used to evaluate the performance of finder with markovian policies. The results proves that the approach could be used for phenotype structure discovery with high accuracy and detects signatures with high discriminative power, the orders of magnitude is faster than other alternatives.

Authors- M. Tech. Scholar Piranha Kumari, Prof. Sujeet Kumar Singh

Abstract- The primary interest is to determine how the extended surface (i.e., the fin) will enhance the air-side heat transfer performance of this kind of heat exchanger. It is very important to consider the heat transfer rate (heating or cooling), which is normally limited by the thermal resistance This thesis concerned with computer simulation study of tube with different fins used to enhance their heat transfer performance subjected to natural convection heat transfer. In the present study the performance of a heated pipe having fins of various configurations using ANSYS 16.0 is analyzed. The material under consideration is aluminum and the free stream fluid is air. Base width and height of the fin were kept constant for all the three types. The heat transfer rate from the fins and the overall heat transfer rate has been calculated and compared for various fin configurations. Also the overall heat transfer co-efficient has been found out. Temperature contours for various fin configuration has been plotted showing the convection loops formed around the heated pipe surface. After comparing it is shown that we can find that the best configuration for this type of convective heat transfer of a heated pipe is a trapezoidal fin as they have the highest total heat transfer rate.

A Review on CFD Analysis of Heat Transfer in a Pipe Having Finned Tube with Different Fin Profile

Authors- M.Tech. Scholar Priyanka Kumari, Prof. Sujeet Kumar Singh

Abstract- The heat transfer will depend on the geometry of the fin like length, thickness, cross sectional area, width, spacing between the fins and the operating parameters such as heat supplied to the device, material of the fin, orientation of the fins, temperature difference between the fin and surrounding, number of fins, fin array orientation etc. as the electronic devices and engines developed, heat generated from them increases and while the surface area of the electronic equipment decreases continuously. The primary interest is to determine how the extended surface (i.e., the fin) will enhance the air-side heat transfer performance of this kind of heat exchanger. It is very important to consider the heat transfer rate (heating or cooling), which is normally limited by the thermal resistance on the air side of the heat exchanger. Improving the fin geometry or fin pattern is one way to augment the heat transfer rate of the fin-and-tube heat exchanger, but this method may require more fan power because of the loss associated with the pressure drop. In order to solve the aforementioned problems, finding the optimized fin configuration would be valuable in designing and creating the heat exchanger.

Health Prediction Using Machine Learning

Authors-Shaili Sharma

Abstract- – “Smart Health Prediction Using Machine Learning,” which is based on predictive modeling, predicts the illness of patients/users based on the symptoms that they supply as input to the system and then delivers a prediction of the condition. There are three different ways to log onto the application: user/patient login, doctor login, and admin login. The device analyses the symptoms provided by the user/patient as input and generates an output depending on the probability of the illness based on the prediction made through the algorithm used by the device. The Naive Bayes Classifier is used to make intelligent health predictions, and it is implemented in this way. The Naive Bayes Classifier calculates the illness % likelihood by taking into account all of the characteristics that have been learned during the training phase of the algorithm. Patients and users gain from an accurate interpretation of illness data since it allows for early disease prediction and a clear view of the condition for the user. Using the chat consultation window, the user/patient may consult with a specialized doctor after delivering the forecast. This method extracts new patterns from historical data by using machine learning algorithms and database management approaches. The accuracy of the forecast can be improved via a machine learning algorithm, and the user/patient will benefit from having quick and straightforward access to the app.
